Some places are fertile for poetry. The quiet beaches of Gubat in Sorsogon are among the examples — the reason why Tabaco literary artist James Jesus Borlagdan was able to craft a piece that blends nature and philosophy. The piece is part of his book “Hadit sa biyahe buda iba pang mga bagahe”.

Nakatukaw sa hubasan
hinapot ko an dagat
kun sisay an ama kan kagabsan.

Linamos ako kan paros,
pero an kahewasan
tinawan akong hangos.
