The Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol reports 14 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one death. The total number of confirmed cases is 794 while total deaths are 21.
Of the 14 new cases, 5 are from Albay (1 Guinobatan, 4 Legazpi City), f4 are from Catanduanes (Virac), 4 from Camarines Sur (2 Bombon, 2 Bato), and 1 from Naga City. The 14 new cases are tagged as patients with local code Bicol#781 to Bicol#794 with details below arranged per Municipality/City/Province.
The 14 newly confirmed cases is part of the 149 test results received by the DOH CHD-Bico. 145 of the cases are from the Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while the 4 are from the Bicol Medical Center (BMC).
The case of reported death due to COVID-19 is Bicol#762, a 51- year old male from Camalig, Albay died at 11:32 PM of August 11, 2020. He was admitted at a private hospital. His cause of death is Acute Respiratory Distress, Pneumonia, Diffuse Auximal Injury, Acute Kidney Injury.
Meanwhile, only two recoveries are reported Friday and these are from Camarines Sur and Catanduanes.
Cases nationwide
Meanwhile, the DOH reported 6,216 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday bring the total number to 153,660. Recovered cases is 71,405 while number of deaths is 2,442.
