Lagonoy Mayor Delfin Pilapil III is seeking reelection under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC). He used to be under the Liberal party in 2016. Pilapil is being challenged by two independent candidates — Allan Odiamar, and Arvin Quillon — and by Ernesto Odiamar Jr., of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng bayan (PDP-Laban).

The vice mayoralty seat is open and this is being contested by Gilbert Rivero (Independent), Jose Alfon (PDP-Laban) and Jerry Remoto (NPC). Remoto used to be Pilapil’s contender in 2016.

Only four of the incumbent councilors are seeking reelection. This leaves four other seats up for grabs.
