It is a duel this May 2019 in Daet, Camarines Norte. Former mayor Tito Sarion, running as an independent candidate, is aiming to return to his seat and is challenging incumbent Mayor Benito Ochoa. Will Ochoa, who is running under Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) fold his seat and give way to Sarion?

In the Vice Mayoralty race, there are three candidates who are aiming to occupy the seat to be vacated by Connie Sarion, These are Jose Angelo Coreses and Noel Ong who are both running as independent candidates, and Rosa Mia King of the PDP-Laban. King was last election’s top vote-getter candidate for councilor.

In the Sangguniang Bayan post, 35 candidates are in an electoral derby. Two of these are incumbent councilors.
