Catanduanes issues new travel restrictions

Catanduanes Governor Joseph Cua issued today, March 20, 2021, Executive Order No. 12 series of 2021 which defines the new border entry guidelines to the island province. The order is to take effect on Monday, March 22, 2021.

EO No. 12 ,which repeals the previous travel guidelines issued by the governor, now requires the presentation of Negative RT-PCR/Saliva/Antigen Test at the border of Catanduanes. The test result should have been issued 3 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival.

Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APORs) from the national government are also required under the new travel guidelines to present identification cards, travel order and travel itinerary.

Limitations on intra-regional travels have also been set. Individuals traveling from Catanduanes to any province in the Bicol Region are required to secure a Letter of Exemption to be presented to the border control upon reentry to the island-province. Those with LOE will no longer be required to present RT-PCR/Saliva/Antigen Test result. The LOEs, however, are issued only for travels to destinations within Region 5 and are not to be issued to other regions.

Lastly, travelers are required to have StaySafe and Traze QR Code to enter Catanduanes, while those who will pass Albay are required to download GetPass Application. This is pursuant to the Executive Order issued also by Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara.
