In line with the surge in the number of COVID-19 Cases, Albay Provincial Governor Al Francis Bichara issued Executive No. 8 series of 2021 dated that March 18, 2021 sets up the new guidelines for entering the Province of Albay.
The EO, which takes effect on the midnight of March 19, 2021, provides new rules for people and vehicles entering or passing through the province. Checkpoints are established in Polangui and Tiwi in the provincial boundaries of Albay and Camarines Sur with each checkpoint authorized to check travel documents including RT-PCR/Antigen/Saliva Test certifications.
Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR) are obliged to present identification cards, travel order, and travel itinerary and must pass symptoms screeningat the point of entry and exit. Employees and wage earners from neighboring province will only be required to present identification cards issued by their employers whose business outfits are registered in the Department of Trade and Industry.
Individuals in transit or are passing through Albay are required to use the ALBAYGET-PASS for contact tracing purposes.
