The Municipality of Bula, Camarines Sur is one of those with highly diverse political parties. That doesn’t excuse, though, political party hoppers like the incumbent mayor who is seeking reelection from  the Liberal Party (LP) in 2016 to the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) this 2019.

Mayor Megay Ibasco is facing two challengers — Felix Brazil of Kusog Bikolandia, and incumbent Councilor Gail Canet of the Nationalist People’s Coalition.

The vice mayoralty post is to be vacated so Benjamin Decena, and Nilo Malanyaon II  are competing to occupy it. Decena who challenged Ibasco in 2016 under the Nacionalista Party (NP) is running now under NPC while Malanyaon is under PDP-Laban.

In the councilorial race, six will be seeking re-election which makes it a tight race for he rest of the 21 candidates.
