With Chiz Escudero seeking a return to the Senate, political ally, Boboy Hamor of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), stepped up and bested three other contenders namely Sally Lee of the National Unity Party (NUP), Noli Gimena of the Partido Pederal ng Maharlika (PPM), and independent candidate Yaps Sentes.
Hamor generated 73% of the total votes cast or 285,888 crushing Sally Lee who only got 101,448. Gimena only earned 3,464 while Sentes had 1,866.

In the vice gubernatorial race, Hamor’s running mate, Jun Escudero, got 290,282 as against his closest rival, Renato Laurinaria (NUP) who got 58,796. Ranking last is Revor Nasay (PDP-Laban) who only got 8,064 votes.
In the First District Provincial Board elections, the top five candidates are: Ryan Dioneda, Nini Ravanilla, Chuck Lubiano, Ed Atutubo and Junjun Mella, all from the Nationalist People’s Coalition.
In the Second District, the Top Five includes Ramil Robles, Johnny Guysayko, Boytee Doma, Ronald Anonuevo and Jun Ong. All of them are also from the NPC.
