04 August Bicol Covid Update: Cases now at 512

As of August 4, 2020, confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region are 512. Active cases are 255.

A total of 455 test results were received Tuesday. 391 of these are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while 64 are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Of the 455 test results, 23 are new positive, one is a repeat test, while four are invalid.

7 of the new Covid-19 cases are from Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon, 6 from Naga City, 4 from Camarines Sur (2 Camaligan, 1 Pasacao, 1 Libmanan), 5 from Albay (4 Legazpi City, 1 Daraga), and one from San Fernando, Masbate. The newly recorded cases are identified as follows:

On Recoveries

A total of six (6) recoveries have been reported Tuesday. These are as follows:

Bicol#260 – 22-year old male from Tabaco City, Albay
Bicol#261 – 20-year old female from Tabaco City, Albay
Bicol#275 – 22-year old female from Legazpi City, Albay
Bicol#279 – 57-year old male Naga City.
Bicol#281 – 33-year old male from Matnog, Sorsogon.

National Cases

Meanwhile, total cases is now 112,593 as the country broke its record on the highest number of reported cases in one day. Newly discovered cases on August 4 is 6,352.

Active cases is now 44,429 while deaths is 2,115. Recoveries are noted at 66,049.
