The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol received a total of 323 Covid-19 test results 14 of which are new confirmed cases. With the newly reported cases, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Bicol Region is 446.

285 of the test results are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while 38 are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

New Cases

Of the 14 new cases, 7 are from Masbate (3 Esperanza, 2 Masbate City, 2 Pio V Corpuz), 6 from Naga City, and one from Albay (Ligao City). The newly reported cases are identified as follows:

On Recoveries

Two recoveries have been recorded today. Active cases are two hundred thirty-nine (239). Those who recovere are: Bicol#229 – 23-year old female from Virac, Catanduanes; and Bicol#247 – 19-year old female from Gigmoto, Catanduanes

On probable and suspect cases

The one (1) probable case and one (1) suspect case are from Albay.

Cases Nationwide

Meanwhile, total Covid-19 cases in the Philippines is 93,354 after 4,063 new cases was posted on Friday. Recoveries 65,178 while deaths is 2,023. The recoveries is based on the new DOH definition classifying those with mild symptoms and asymptomatic cases as “recovered”.

The regions with the highest Covid-19 cases are the National Capital Region with 50,611 followed by Region 7 (Central Visayas) with 15,430 and Region 4-A (CALABARZON) with 8,607.
