25 July Bicol Covid update: Cases now at 354

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) in Bicol recorded 15 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of virus-infected Bicolanos to 354. Active cases is 190 with 8 deaths and 156 recoveries.

The newly recovered persons are Bicol#206, a 4-year old male and Bicol #207, a 29-year old female. Both are from Mandaon, Masbate.

The 15 newly discovered cases is part of the 381 results received Saturday. 290 of the cases are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while the rest are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Of the 15 positive cases, seven are from Masbate, three are from Camarines Sur, two each from Naga City and Albay, and one from Catanduanes. The cases are described as follows:

  • Bicol#340 – a 36-year old Filipino male from Virac, Catanduanes. He arrived from Abu Dhabi on July 1, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
  • Bicol#341 – a 41-year old Filipino female from Nabua, Camarines Sur. She arrived from Taguig City on July 22, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#341 is a housekeeper.
  • Bicol#342 – a 67-year old Filipino female from Legazpi City, Albay. She first experienced symptoms on July 19, 2020 and consulted on July 22, 2020. She is admitted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH). Her history of exposure is to be established.
  • Bicol#343 – a 31-year old Filipino male from Daraga, Albay. He first experienced symptoms on July 22 and consulted on July 24, 2020 at BRTTH. His history of exposure is to be established. Bicol#343 is a nursing attendant.
  • Bicol#344 – a 19-year old Filipino male from Cataingan, Masbate. He arrived from Quezon City and Pasay City on July 15, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#344 is a gasoline boy.
  • Bicol#345 – a 22-year old Filipino male from Mobo, Masbate. He arrived from Marikina City on July 16, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#345 is a sales boy.
  • Bicol#346 – a 20-year old Filipino male from Mobo, Masbate. He arrived from Marikina City on July 16, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#346 is a sales boy.
  • Bicol#347 – a 22-year old Filipino male from Baleno, Masbate. He arrived from Quezon City on July 17, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#347 is an encoder.
  • Bicol#348 – a 5-year old Filipino female from Milagros, Masbate. She arrived from Quezon City on July 20, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
  • Bicol#349 – a 25-year old Filipino male from Milagros, Masbate. He arrived from Quezon City on July 20, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#349 is a security guard.
  • Bicol#350 – a 27-year old Filipino female from Milagros, Masbate. She arrived from Quezon City on July 20, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
  • Bicol#351 – a 40-year old Filipino female from Naga City. She is a close contact of Bicol#289. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
  • Bicol#352 – a 51-year old Filipino male from Naga City. He arrived from Antipolo on July 14, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
  • Bicol#353 – a 1-year old Filipino female from Calabanga, Camarines Sur. She is a close contact of Bicol#293. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
  • Bicol#354 – a 1-year old Filipino male from Calabanga, Camarines Sur. He is a close contact of Bicol#293. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined.Releasing of other details about the said patients is at the discretion of the Local Government Units (LGUs) concerned guided by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.

The negative results are from the following: Albay PHO – 111, BRTTH – 27, BMC – 57, Camarines Sur – 42, Catanduanes – 3, Masbate – 96, Sorsogon – 1, CESU Legazpi- 4, and CESU Naga – 25.On probable and suspect casesThe one (1) suspect and one (1) probable case in Bicol Region are from Albay.

Meanwhile, total Covid-19 cases in the Philippines is now at 78,412. Recoveries are 25,752 and deaths are 1,897.
