A total of 408 test results were released Friday, July 24, with 19 recorded as positive for COVID-19. This brings to 339 the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Bicol Region. Active cases are 177.
Of the 408 test results, 326 came from the Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while 82 are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Two of the test results are invalid, 19 are positive and the rest are negative.
Of the 19 new cases, five (5) are from Sorsogon, four (4) from Masbate, three (3) from Albay, four (4) from Camarines Sur and three (3) from Naga City. The positive cases are described as follows:
- Bicol#321 – a 23-year old Filipino male from Buhi, Camarines Sur. He arrived from Antipolo City on July 18, 2020. His onset of illness is for verification. He is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#321 is a laborer.
- Bicol#322 – a 40-year old Filipino male from Bula, Camarines Sur. His date of arrival from Quezon City is for verification. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#322 is a driver.
- Bicol#323 – a 24-year old Filipino male from Palanas, Masbate. He arrived from Quezon City on July 19, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined. Bicol#323 is a construction worker.
- Bicol#324 – a 46-year old Filipino male from Palanas, Masbate. He arrived from Las Piñas on July 17, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined. Bicol#324 is a construction worker.
- Bicol#325 – a 41-year old Filipino female from Cawayan, Masbate. Her date of arrival from Caloocan is for verification. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
- Bicol#326 – an 18-year old Filipino female from Cawayan, Masbate. Her date of arrival from Caloocan is for verification. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
- Bicol#327 – a 44-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He first experienced symptoms on July 20, 2020 and consulted on July 22, 2020 at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH). He is quarantined. His history of exposure is to be established. Bicol#327 is a supervisor.
- Bicol#328 – a 25-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He first experienced symptoms on July 19, 2020 and consulted on July 22, 2020 at BRTTH. His history of exposure is to be established. He is quarantined. Bicol#328 is a warehouse man.
- Bicol#329 – a 34-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He first experienced symptoms on July 8, 2020 and consulted on July 22, 2020 at BRTTH. His history of exposure is for verification. He is quarantined. Bicol#329 is an administrative assistant.
- Bicol#330 – a 15-year old Filipino male from Matnog, Sorsogon. His date of arrival from Cavite is for verification. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
- Bicol#331 – a 39-year old Filipino female from Matnog, Sorsogon. Her date of arrival from Bulacan is for verification. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
- Bicol#332 – a 21-year old Filipino male from Matnog, Sorsogon. His date of arrival from Bulacan is for verification. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
- Bicol#333 – a 16-year old Filipino male from Matnog, Sorsogon. His date of arrival from Bulacan is for verification. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
- Bicol#334 – a 23-year old Filipino female from Matnog, Sorsogon. Her date of arrival from Cavite is for verification. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined.
- Bicol#335 – a 49-year old Filipino female from Naga City. Her history of exposure is for verification. She first experienced symptoms on July 15, 2020 and consulted at Bicol Medical Center (BMC) today. She is quarantined. Bicol#335 is a nurse.
- Bicol#336 – a 40-year old Filipino female from Naga City. She first experienced symptoms on July 15, 2020 and consulted at BMC today. She is quarantined. Her history of exposure is to be established. Bicol#336 is a bank employee.
- Bicol#337 – a 31-year old Filipino male whose current address is Camaligan, Camarines Sur. He first experienced symptoms on July 23, 2020 and consulted today at BMC. He is quarantined. His history of exposure is to be established. Bicol#337 is a priest.
- Bicol#338 – a 31-year old Filipino male from Naga City. He first experienced symptoms on July 21, 2020 and consulted today at BMC. His history of exposure is to be established. He is quarantined. Bicol#338 is a priest.
- Bicol#339 – a 32-year old Filipino male from Siruma, Camarines Sur. His history of travel is for verification. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#339 is a fisherman.
The negative results are broken down as follows: Albay PHO – 108, BRTTH – 11, BMC – 47, Camarines Sur – 40, Catanduanes – 20, Masbate – 63, Sorsogon – 21, CESU Legazpi- 46, CESU Naga – 30 and USI – 1.
Patients with local codes Bicol#196, Bicol#197, Bicol#198, all from Ligao City, Albay have all recovered from the virus as of Friday. Total number of recoveries in Bicol Region is now 154.
The DOH CHD-Bicol also reports one COVID-19 suspect and one probable case both from Albay.
Meanwhile, Total COVID-19 cases in the Philippines is now recorded at 75,444 with 24,502 recoveries and 1,879 deaths.
