The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol records four (4) new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now two hundred thirty-five (235).

On the 4 new cases, Placer town in Masbate records its 1st COVID-19 case, while additional one (1) for Tabaco City, one (1) from Manito and one (1) from Legazpi City.
• Bicol#232 – a 31-year old Filipino female from Placer, Masbate. She arrived from Marikina on June 26, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
• Bicol#233 – a 46-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He arrived from Makati City on July 11, 2020. He is asymptomatic.
• Bicol#234 – a 23-year old Filipino male from Tabaco City, Albay. He arrived from Quezon City on July 5, 2020. He first experienced symptoms on July 10, 2020. He is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
• Bicol#235 – a 29-year old Filipino male from Manito, Albay. He is a neighbor of Bicol#209. He first experienced symptoms on June 25, 2020, and is quarantined.
Releasing of other details about the said patient is at the discretion of the Local Government Unit (LGU) concerned guided by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.
On Recovery
Patient with local code Bicol#110, a 38-year old Filipino male from Tinambac, Camarines Sur is the new recovery for today. Active case are one hundred twenty-nine (129).
On test results received
A total of one hundred ninety-one (191) test results were received today. One hundred sixty-nine (169) are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while twenty-two (22) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).
Of the 191 test results, two (2) are invalid and four (4) are positive.
Breakdown of 185 negative results:
Albay – 74, BMC – 22 , Camarines Sur – 2, Catanduanes – 6, Masbate – 28, Sorsogon – 1, and Legazpi CHO – 52.
Cases Nationwide
Meanwhile, cases all over the country is now at 58,850 after a 1,305 new cases recorded. Recoveries are 20,976 and deaths number 1,614.
The number of cases keeps the Philippines second to Indonesia in terms of Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia.
