The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol records eight (8) new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now two hundred twenty-three (223). Active cases are one hundred twenty-nine (129).
Of the eight (8) new cases, four (4) are from Sipocot, one (1) from Baao, one (1) from Naga City, one (1) from Oas and one (1) from Legazpi City.
• Bicol#216 – a 60-year old Filipino female from Baao, Camarines Sur. She first experienced symptoms on July 1, 2020. She consulted at a private hospital and transferred and admitted at Bicol Medical Center on July 11, 2020. Her history of exposure is for verification.
• Bicol#217 – a 46-year old Filipino male from Sipocot, Camarines Sur. He arrived from Batangas City on July 6, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in the municipality. Bicol#217 is a factory worker.
• Bicol#218 – a 37-year old Filipino male from Sipocot, Camarines Sur. He arrived on July 5, 2020 from Quezon City. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in the municipality. Bicol#218 is a vendor.
• Bicol#219 – a 28-year old Filipino male from Naga City, Camarines Sur. His history of exposure is for validation. He first experienced symptoms on July 8, 2020 and is quarantined. Bicol#219 is a helper.
• Bicol#220 – a 73-year old Filipino housewife from Sipocot, Camarines Sur. She arrived from Caloocan City on July 6, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in the municipality.
• Bicol#221 – a 26-year old Filipino female from Sipocot, Camarines Sur. She arrived from Pasay City on July 3, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in the municipality.
• Bicol#222 – a 53- year old Filipino male from Oas, Albay. He arrived from Quezon City on July 2, 2020. He is a close contact of Bicol#137 and Bicol#164. His onset of illness is for verification. He is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in the municipality. Bicol#222 is a laborer.
• Bicol#223 – a 36-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He arrived from Pasig City on July 9, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in the city. Bicol#223 is a security guard.
Releasing of other details about the said patients is at the discretion of the Local Government Units (LGUs) concerned guided by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.
New Covid-19 death
The DOH CHD-Bicol, meanwhile, confirms the 7th COVID-19 death in Bicol Region, and the 4th COVID-19 death in the province of Albay.
Bicol#209, a 60-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay who was reported positive last night, July 10, 2020, passed away at 6:30 AM today. He first experienced symptoms on July 1, 2020 and was admitted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) on July 8, 2020. Said patient also had critical pneumonia and severe acute respiratory syndrome.
Cases nationwide
Total Covid-19 cases in the Philippines is now at 54,222. Recoveries is 14,037 while deaths are recorded at 1,372.
