25 June Bicol Covid Update: Region 5 records 2 new cases, 2 recoveries

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol reports that of the 170 test results received Thursday, two are positive for COVID-19. This brings to 92 the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the Bicol Region.

The newly confirmed cases are from Naga City, Camarines Sur. Bicol#91 is a 30-year old Filipino female while Bicol#92 is a 59-year old Filipino female. Both had travel history from Cavite. They were swabbed by Naga City team on June 25, 2020 and are now admitted at Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Meanwhile, Bicol#80, a 46-year old male from Guinobatan, Albay, and Bicol#81, a 42-year old female from Bacacay, Albay are the new recoveries bringing to 74 the total number of recoveries.

Active Covid-19 cases remain at 13.

Of the 170 tests results received, 138 are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while thirty-two (32) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

The breakdown of 168 negative results is as follows:
Albay PESU – 59, BRTTH – 48, BMC – 18, Camarines Sur PHO – 3, CSPMC -7, CHO Legazpi -31 and CHO Naga – 2.

Bicol Region has nine (9) suspects – three (3) are from Albay, two (2) are from Camarines Norte, three (3) from Catanduanes, and one (1) from Sorsogon.

Meanwhile, total cases in the Philippines is now 33,069 with 8,910 recoveries and 1,212 deaths.

Total cases worldwide is 9.44 million. Of this number, 2.43 million is from the United States.
