The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol reports one new confirmed case of COVID-19 bringing the number of total cases in the region to 90. Active cases are fifteen (15).
A 56-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay is the 90th confirmed case of COVID-19. He has a travel history from Muntinlupa and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. He is asymptomatic.
Bicol#90 arrived in Legazpi City via plane (Cebu Pacific) on June 18, 2020 with flight number 5J 325, and was seated at 15C. If you happen to be on the same flight as Bicol#90 kindly inform immediately your Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) or the personnel at the quarantine facility where you are currently quarantined.
The latest case is part of the 131 test results received Tuesday. 104 are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while twenty-seven (27) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).
Among the 131 results, twenty-one (21) are invalid and 109 are negative. 45 of the negative results are from BRTTH; 14 from BMC; 13 from Camarines Sur; 5 from Masbate and 32 from CESU Legazpi.
On recoveries, Bicol#76, a 46-year old male from Legazpi City, Albay, and Bicol#77, a 27-year old male from Bacacay, Albay are now discharged hence the new recoveries for today. Recoveries in Bicol Region are now 72 while active cases are thirteen (13).
Instead of current confirmed cases, active cases will now be used to align with the central office terminologies. Active cases are total cases less recoveries and deaths.
On Suspects and Probable, Bicol Region has six (6) suspects – one (1) is from Albay while five (5) are from Sorsogon. The one (1) probable case in Bicol Region is from Albay.

Meanwhile, the total number of cases now in the Philippines is 31,825 with the addition of 1,773 new cases. Total deaths is now at 1,186 while recoveries is noted at 8,143.
