17 June Bicol Covid Update: Cases remain at 85

As of June 17, 2020, confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region remain at 85 as all test results received tested negative.

A total of 182 test results were received today. 155 are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while 27 are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Breakdown of 182 negative results:
PHO Albay – 102, BRTTH – 25, BMC – 7, Camarines Norte – 15, Camarines Sur – 3, Catanduanes – 16, Masbate – 4, Sorsogon – 8, and CESU Naga – 2.

Bicol Region has 4 suspected cases of COVID-19 all from Albay. Only one probable case exists and this is from Masbate.

Meanwhile the DOH CHD-Bicol issued an erratum regarding Bicol #85. Upon validation, the flight number of patient with local code Bicol#85 was PAL PR 2927 (Cebu City to Legazpi City flight), not PAL PR 497. If you happen to be on the same flight as Bicol#85, kindly inform your Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) or the personnel of the quarantine facility where you are currently quarantined.

Bicol#85 is now admitted at Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Meanwhile, total COVID-19 cases in the Philippines is now at 27,238 with 1,108 deaths and 6,820 recoveries.

Total confirmed cases in the world is 7.94 million with the United States of America being home to 2.18 million of these cases.
