12 June Bicol Covid Update: Cases now at 82

The Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol confirms the status of the Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) earlier reported in Catanduanes. Said LSI tested positive after his sample was run at Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) via RT-PCR. He is now tagged as Bicol#82.

Bicol#82 is a 49-year old Filipino male from San Miguel, Catanduanes. He had a history of travel from Saudi Arabia and arrived in Manila on May 23, 2020. Said patient was the LSI who tested positive on June 1, 2020 at Philippine Red Cross in Manila and arrived in Catanduanes on June 8, 2020. He is currently quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in Catanduanes with mild symptoms.

Meanwhile, total Covid-19 cases in the country is now at 24,787. of these number, 1,052 are dead and recoveries are at 5,454.
