22 May Bicol Covid Update: cases in Bicol stable at 68

As of May 22, 2020, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Bicol Region remain at 68.

All 37 test results received from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) yielded negative for COVID-19.

Of the 37 results, 10 are from Albay, 13 from Camarines Norte, 5 from Camarines Sur, and 9 are from Sorsogon.

Bicol#42, a 39-year old health worker from Daraga, Albay yielded her 1st negative swab via RT-PCR. Said patient is clinically recovered and for facility quarantine for 14 days and repeat swab thereafter. Current confirmed cases are 17.

Bicol Region has 35 suspects and 5 probable cases. 33 suspects are from Albay while 2 are from Sorsogon. On probable, 3 are from Albay while 2 are from Camarines Sur.

Meanwhile, the Philippines now has 13,597 Covid-19 cases and continue to rank third in Southeast Asia next to Singapore and Indonesia. Deaths number 857 and recoveries are 3,092.
