For those who love wine and distilled spirits in Albay, good news! Albay Provincial Governor Al Francis Bichara has lifted the liquor ban in the entire province.
The lifting of the liquor ban, however, is subject to the observance of safety protocols and strict observance of minimum health standards such as social distancing, prohibition of mass gathering, and prohibition of drinking in public places including bars, restaurants and the like.


The lifting of the liquor ban was automatically echoed in the different cities and municipalities in Albay. Mayors Caloy Baldo of Camalig, for instance, immediately posted on Facebook but reiterated the observance of social distancing and other health related precautions.

Legazpi City Mayor Noel Rosal likewise issued amendments to the city’s Executive Order No, 23 to conform with the issuance of the Provincial Government. He also reiterated that the guidelines on social distancing, mass gatherings and public places be followed.
