Sorry, your thirst for alcohol may not be quenched yet in Sorsogon province as only ethyl alcohol and those used for cleaning are allowed. According to Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero, ban on liquor and other distilled spirits continue to be in effect as drinking violates social distancing regulations.
Escudero also emphasized that Executive Order No. 37-2020 and Provincial Ordinance No. 26-2020 which prohibit mass gatherings as part of precautionary measures in the fight against the Coronavirus disease are still operational.
The governor also urged barangay and city as well as municipal officials to assist in the implementation of the liquor ban as well as other guidelines in curbing the Coronavirus in the province.
