11 May Bicol Covid Update: Total cases now at 62

The Department of Health Center for Health Development in Bicol (DOH CHD-Bicol) reported three new cases of COVID-19 Monday, May 11, leading to a total of 62 positive cases in the region.

Active cases is now at 22.

A 41-year old Filipino male from Tigaon, Camarines Sur is the 60th confirmed case of COVID-19 in the region. His onset of illness was on March 26, 2020. He consulted on May 5, 2020. Swab was facilitated by Camarines Sur Provincial Health Office. Bicol#60’s exposure is for verification.

DOH Bicol reports the 1st confirmed case in the province of Camarines Norte. A 45-year old Filipino male from Labo, Camarines Norte is the sixty-first (61st) confirmed case in the region. He first experienced symptoms on April 27, 2020 and consulted at Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital on May 4, 2020. He is currently admitted. Bicol#61’s history of exposure is still being established.

A 46-year old Filipino male from Daraga, Albay is the 62nd confirmed case of COVID-19 in the region. He first experienced symptoms on April 25, 2020. He consulted on May 7, 2020 at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) and is admitted. Bicol#62 is a close contact of patient with local code Bicol#48.

On results released

Of the 60 test results released Monday, three are new positive, while 57 yielded negative. No new recoveries have been reported

.Meanwhile, the Philippines has breached the 11,000 mark with 292 new Covid-19 cases. Total cases nationwide is 11,086 with 726 deaths. Active cases or those currently being treated is 8,361 as the rest either died or recovered.
