The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol reported one new case when a frontliner tested positive for Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Wednesday, April 29. She is the 39th case and the seventh in the current cases being treated in the region,
The 39th confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 43-year old Filipino female from Naga City, Camarines Sur. She is asymptomatic and was swabbed on April 27, 2020. Bicol#39 is admitted at Bicol Medical Center (BMC). Said patient is a health worker and was assigned at a COVID ward.
On Recoveries
Bicol#16 who was 1st reported negative yesterday is now discharged hence the new recovery for today. Bicol#16 is a 59-year old Filipino female from Naga City, Camarines Sur. Bicol#25 who was first reported negative April 27, 2020 is now discharged hence also a recovery for today. Patient is a 63-year old Filipino female from Virac, Catanduanes. Total recovered is at twenty-eight (28).

The Philippines, meanwhile, remains third in the number of cases in Southeast Asia with 8,212 Covid-19 positive patients and 558 deaths. Singapore remains first with 15,641 cases and 14 deaths while Indonesia ranks second with 9,771 and 784 deaths.
