To win the war against Coronavirus disease (Covid-19), we need clean surroundings, proper hygiene and a healthy body. To achieve the third, select local chief executives in the Bicol Region distributed not only the regular food packs of rice, noodles and sardines but also fresh fish, meat and vegetables to their respective constituents now under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
One of these local chief executives is Mayor Boy Galicia of Rapu-rapu, Albay who harvested tilapia and bangus from his fishpond and distributed them to the people in the island-municipality. He also distributed pork, turkeys and chicken meat so that his constituents will have something to feast on during the Easter Sunday.

Other LGUs that distributed meat are the municipalities of Guinobatan in Albay, Casiguran and Irosin in Sorsogon; and the cities of Ligao and Legazpi in Albay, and Sorsogon City.
Other municipalities that distributed fish are Mercedes in Camarines Norte, Pioduran in Albay, Pilar and Bulan in Sorsogon. The provincial government of Sorsogon also distributed smoked fish to the city and all municipalities in the province.

Almost all local government units in the region also distributed vegetables. These include the Provincial Government of Albay, the city and municipal governments in Albay’s Third District, Tiwi (for select sectors) and Tabaco City of Albay’s First District; the municipalities of Pilar, Irosin and Casiguran in Sorsogon.

Does your LGU also distribute these. Give us a comment below.
