24 April Bicol Covid Update: Confirmed cases now at 35

Bicol Region’s confirmed cases is now at thirty-five (35) after one new case has been recorded today, the Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol reports.

Bicol#35 is a 40-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He arrived from Manila on March 20, 2020. Onset of illness was on April 18, 2020. Said patient consulted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) on April 22, 2020. Bicol#35 is a frontliner.

On Recoveries

Bicol#20, a 54-year old male from Legazpi City, Albay who tested positive last April 18, 2020 was discharged, hence, the new recovery for today. He first tested negative on April 21, 2020. Recoveries is now at twenty-one (21). Current confirmed positive remains at eleven (11).

On Test Results released today

DOH CHD – Bicol reports that on test results released today, two tested negative of COVID -19. Patients with local ID code Bicol#25, a 63-year old Filipino female from Virac, Catanduanes, and Bicol#27, a 21-year old Filipino female from Legazpi City, Albay who is a health worker. Both are quarantined at an LGU facility.

The Philippines, meanwhile, remains at the third spot after Singapore and Indonesia in terms of Covid cases in Southeast Asia. Singapore has 12,075 cases with 12 deaths; Indonesia has 8,211 with 689 deaths while the Philippines has 7,192 with 477 deaths.
