San Andres, Catanduanes Mayor Peter Cua is seeking reelection under the United Nationalists Alliance (UNA). He is being challenged again by Abel Suarez who is now under the Partido liberal ng Pilipinas (PFP) banner, and Jonatahn Romano of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).

The seat to be vacated by Vice Mayor Greg Salvador is being eyed by Leo Mendoza of the Liberal Party (LP) and Allan Somido (independent).

Fourteen candidates are also hoping to get a seat in the Sangguniang Bayan. Six of these are incumbent councilors.
