The mayoralty and vice mayoralty posts in Del Gallego, Camarines Sur are vacant. Mayor Lydia Abarientos is not running so Vice Mayor Bayani Veluz is eyeing her post. Veluz, who is the standard bearer of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), is competing with Melanie Garcia of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC).

There are also two competitors for the vice mayoralty post. These are Renato Natano of NPC, and Councilor Cleto  Suarilla are of PDP Laban.

For Sangguniang Bayan, a total of 21 candidates filed for the eight-seater legislative council. Three of these are incumbents.
