Mayor Marilou Hirose aligned herself with Governor Migz Villafuerte and will be running under Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban). She only has a running mate, Councilor Diano Ibardaloza Jr., and no councilorial slate. It is expected, however, that the two will form a coalition ticket as the election draws near.

Challenging Hirose is Vice Mayor Rolando Eduardo who is running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC). Unlike Hirose, Eduardo has complete slate. His vice mayor is Arturo Almendral and included in his line-up two incumbent councilrs – Ed  Loriaga and Jun De Loyola.
