For most Filipino tables, breakfast is not always the same without pan de sal. But in these trying times where mobility is limited, procuring the breakfast staple is a challenge. At least not for the people of Irosin.
On April 17, the local government unit of Irosin in Sorsogon headed by Mayor Pidoy Cielo distributed pan de sal in at least 700 households in Barangay Patag and will continue distributing to the rest of the municipality’s 13,000 households.
The Libreng Pandesal is not just a part of relief distribution but to give the people of Irosin at least a semblance of “normalization” in these trying times.
The program is made possible with the local government unit forging partnership with bakeries.
