Santisima seized control in the sixth round, dropping Murata and swinging the bout’s momentum before outworking the hometown favorite down the stretch to secure the judges’ nod.

The title fight was part of “Dynamic Glove on U-NEXT Vol. 40”, a Teiken Promotions card held at the famed Tokyo venue.

Santisima’s victory also carried family pride: Murata had beaten Santisima’s older brother Alex Santisima Jr. in Japan in 2024, making Gabriel’s triumph a symbolic payback for the Santisima camp.
