The Liberal Party flexed its muscle in Malinao, Albay when its members dominated the 2025 local elections. Mayor Sheryl Capus Bilo and Vice Mayor Abner Cargullo, both from LP, each had another term by garnering 52% of the total votes cast for Mayor, and 40% of the votes for Vice Mayor, respectively.

Six of the LP members also took the Sangguniang Bayan seats while the rest went to Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (LAKAS).
