Victor Nobleza Wood, the iconic figure in the Philippine music industry who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many with his soulful voice and memorable performances, is a Bikolano born on February 1, 1946, in Buhi, Camarines Sur. His father is the American serviceman, Sgt. Kocky Wood while is mother is Rosario “Tiyang Saring” Nobleza, popular for selling herbal medications and perfumes in Rinconada area.

Wood’s journey to stardom began in the 1970s, a golden era for Original Pilipino Music (OPM). His unique blend of pop and rock ‘n’ roll, paired with his smooth vocals, quickly catapulted him to fame.
Wood’s discography is a testament to his versatility and emotional depth. Among his most cherished hits are “Mr. Lonely,” “I’m Sorry My Love,” and “Eternally.” These songs not only topped the charts but also became anthems of an era, resonating with the experiences and sentiments of a generation. His ability to convey profound emotions through his music earned him a dedicated fanbase and numerous accolades.
But Wood’s talents were not confined to the recording studio.
