Do you know who the elected provincial officials are?
The Provincial Government of Albay is currently headed by Edcel Greco “Grex” Lagman. He assumed the office of the Provincial Governor after Noel Rosal, the 2022 winner in the provincial guvernatorial race, was disqualified for violating the election spending ban. The disqualification stemmed from the “payout” of cash assistance by the local government to the tricycle drivers and senior citizens while he was then mayor of Legazpi, Albay, which was considered by the Commission on Elections as a violation of Section 261 of the Election Code.
Because the disqualification ruling came only after the proclamation of candidates, Grex Lagman had to assume the governorship while the Top 1 candidate for Provincial Board, Glenda Ong Bongao, had to replace Lagman as Vice Governor.
Because of the succession, a vacancy occurred in the Provincial Board’s post particularly in the First District. This was filled-in by Shiena Marie Onrubia-Dela Cruz.

The following is the list of elected officials serving from 2023 to 2025.
