A total of 285 Covid-19 test results were received Wednesday, July 29, and yielded 21 positive results. One of those who tested positive died. The newly recorded cases brings to a total of 422 recorded cases in the region with 10 deaths.

The latest casualty is identified as Bicol #422 who first experienced symptoms on July 20, 2020. He died at 5:40 PM on July 27, 2020, the same day he consulted at a private hospital in Legazpi City.

Active cases are two hundred fifty (250). Of the 21 new cases, nine (9) are from Masbate City, seven (7) from Albay (5 Legazpi City, 2 Daraga), four (4) Camarines Sur (San Jose, Sagñay, Siruma, Calabanga), one (1) Naga City. The identifiers of the cases are as follows:

National figures

Positive Covid-19 cases in the Philippines is now 85,486. Of this number, 26,996 have recovered and 1,962 died.

Metro Manila continues to be the hotspot of Covid-19 cases in the country with 46,687 cases and 1,005 deaths. With these, the Inter-Agency Task Force is mulling to re-classify the capital region to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine. NCR is currently classified as under the General Community Quarantine.
