Results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Manila has started arriving and this include a new case from Labo, Camarines Norte according to the Department of Health Center for Health Development – in Bicol (DOH CHD-Bicol) Wednesday, May 20. The new case is the 68th case in the region.
The 68th confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 62-year old Filipino female from Labo, Camarines Norte. Patient is asymptomatic, and was checked at the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital on May 12, 2020. She is a close contact of patient with local code Bicol#61.
Meanwhile, total cases nationwide is at 13,221 with 842 deaths. The Philippines continue to rank third in Southeast Asia in terms of Covid-19 cases with Singapore on top with 29,364 and Indonesia with 19,189. Deaths in the lion city is only 22 while deaths in the Indonesian archipelago is 1,242.
